September 2, 2018 is the last day of our regular season, we will be open Friday 11-4, and Saturday and Sunday 10-4 starting on Friday, September 7th. We are also open by appointment, please email us at info@fortplainmuseum.org

Citizen Soldier - Book Release & Signing Reception

On Friday, November 10, 2017, the Fort Plain Museum is holding a book release & signing reception for Citizen Soldier: The Revolutionary War Journal of Joseph Bloomfield, edited by Mark Edward Lender and James Kirby Martin. Reception starts at 7:30 PM with authors arriving by 8 PM. This book and other books by the authors will be for sale. Refreshments and beverages will be served. The museum is located at 389 Canal Street in Fort Plain.

Military Theaters of the American Revolution

The American Revolution Round Table: Hudson-Mohawk Valleys is hosting a Veteran’s Day event to celebrate veterans and the great sacrifices that they have made.

The Round Table, Siena College’s McCormick School of the American Revolution, SUNY Schenectady County Community College-Community Archaeology Program, the PastQuest Research Group, Westholme Publishing and Alpin Haus are proud to present, the Military Theaters of the American Revolution Symposium.

The Symposium will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 8:00 AM and will conclude at 4:15 PM. It will be held at the Schenectady County Community College located at 78 Washington Ave, Schenectady, NY 12305 in the Stockade Building’s Lecture Hall.
